In July 2023, we developed a database with the aim of making Yolo County's electoral history easily accessible to everyone. Our goal was to provide maximum convenience, transparency, and openness to the public. Starting from the year 1997, we gathered and organized data from various sources, including past candidate contests and ballot questions, and compiled them into a user-friendly platform for easy searching.

Creating this platform involved several steps, such as inventorying and extracting data from numerous historical primary sources. We also ensured that the data underwent rigorous quality checks to offer reliable information to our users.

Disclaimer on Data Availability:

The database contains precinct-level results from the 2008 General Election and forward. The elections from 1997 to the 2008 Primary contain intermittent precinct-level results, with most contests containing only the aggregate total results.

In the course of using the search feature on the site, you may find that some offices do not include known districts for that office. In these cases, it is usually because the district was not up for election in the specific range of years or dates you have specified in your search.

Similarly, when searching general elections, some offices may appear to be missing because the office may have been uncontested in the primary, and thus no general election was held for that office.
